Frequently asked questions

Useful answers,
before we begin.

Straightforward information about starting a project, working together and what happens next.

Starting a project

What can Ocula help with?

We work across product development, UI and UX design, content management, digital marketing and data insight. A project can begin with one discipline or connect several around the same goal.

Do we need a finished brief?

No. A useful starting point can be the current situation, what you would like to change and any important timing or constraints. Part of the first stage can be turning that context into a clearer brief.

Can you help with an early idea?

Yes. We can help define the problem, make assumptions visible and shape a focused first outcome before a larger design or delivery commitment.

Can you improve something that already exists?

Yes. We can review an existing product, journey, content system, campaign or reporting workflow and prioritise the changes most likely to make it more useful.

Working together

What happens first?

We begin with a conversation about the goal, audience, current position and constraints. If there is a useful fit, the next step is a written proposal or a focused discovery stage.

Can you work with our existing team or suppliers?

Yes. The work can be shaped around the people and capabilities already in place. Responsibilities, handovers and decision points are agreed clearly at the start.

How do you keep a project on track?

We use visible priorities, tangible work and regular decision points. The exact rhythm depends on the engagement, but progress and open questions should never be hidden.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the scope, dependencies and evidence needed. After an initial conversation, we can recommend a sensible first stage and explain the timing attached to it.

Practical details

How is pricing agreed?

The commercial approach depends on the work. Scope, assumptions, price and payment terms are set out in writing before a project begins.

Can support continue after launch?

Where useful, an engagement can include launch support, review and ongoing improvement. Any continuing work is agreed as part of the project or as a separate next stage.

Where is Ocula based?

Ocula Tech is based at Suite RA01, 195–197 Wood Street, London E17 3NU. The most useful working arrangement can be discussed for each project.

How does the website enquiry form work?

When you choose Send, the form securely submits your details to Ocula and shows whether the message was accepted. A short, privacy-friendly proof-of-work check helps prevent automated spam. If direct delivery is unavailable, you can open the enquiry in your own email app instead.
